NetbookCD 1.1 Released

Thanks to the feedback from viewers here and some forum members over MyDellMini, NetbookCD 1.1 has been released today. This release primarily consists of a fix for the Snow Leopard verison, which for all intents and purposes just didn’t work for the 1.0 Final release. Also included on both versions is a CD edition of the NetbookInstaller 3 guide, providing easier access and a reference tool for users without requiring Internet access. You can find the new releases on the NetbookInstaller 3 Guide page or on the Downloads page.

Used NetbookInstaller 1 to put Snow Leopard on Dell Mini 9 with clean super talent 32gB ssd. Worked perfectly with 10.6. Installed 10.6.1 update from same usb stick. Did not have to do anything except click on the installer as normal and it installed no problems. It even figured out to reconfigure startup drive to the operational SSD. Beautiful- thank you so much- had been trying to figure out the other guides and none worked for me and not nearly as elegant as this. Only caveat for others would be to use an Intel Mac to configure your stick. Tried with powermac and it did not work. REformatted USB drive from scratch on intel and no issues. This definitely rates a donation!
